Day 8

Exploring the Natural Paradise of Zaamin (Samarkand — Zaamin)

Day 8

• After breakfast, you’ll embark on a 4-hour journey to Zaamin, a magical corner of Uzbekistan known for its lush nature and pure air that revitalizes the soul. As you approach, you’ll feel the hustle and bustle of urban life fade away, giving way to an environment where nature reigns supreme.
• Your first stop will be the impressive Zaamin State Reserve and Zaamin National Park, natural treasures located on the northern slopes of the Turkistan Range. Covering over 47,000 hectares, this park is home to the largest pine forest in the region and serves as a refuge for endangered flora and fauna, including rare species such as the snow leopard, the Asiatic black bear, and the Turkestan lynx, among other 14 animal species and 18 plant species listed in the Red Book of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Here, you’ll walk along trails surrounded by majestic pines that occupy an ecosystem ranging from 1,760 to 3,500 meters above sea level, while listening to the songs of migratory birds like the black stork, which nests here, and breathing in the fresh air that descends from the mountains. This is a place where nature is preserved in its purest form, offering a peaceful and immersive experience with the environment that is hard to find elsewhere.
• During your visit, you’ll make a stop at a viewpoint from which you can admire panoramic vistas stretching as far as the eye can see. Mountains that seem to touch the sky, green valleys, and a horizon that invites daydreaming.
• Here, you’ll take a break to have lunch.
• Around 2 PM, you’ll check into your hotel in Zaamin, surrounded by the relaxing natural environment.
• Once settled, the afternoon will be yours to explore at your own pace, walking around and enjoying more panoramic views. The tranquility of Zaamin invites you to relax and reconnect with nature, away from the distractions of the modern world. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you’ll have the option to take a cable car ride (optional 1-hour tour) that’ll take you to heights where you can admire the grandeur of the mountains from a unique perspective. The view from the cable car is simply spectacular, a sight that’ll be etched in your memory.
• You’ll end a day full of natural wonders with a delicious dinner at a local restaurant, where local flavors will make your taste buds celebrate with every bite as you taste local delights such as samsa.
